LEONISSA.M.FERNANDES(16-01-1900 to 26-12-1990),Mother of Sri Oscar Fernandes, Honorable Rajya Sabha Member, Govt.of India & wife of Roque Fernandees, famous Head Master of Udupi.  She was first lady bench magistrate of D.K.district. Lalalajpath roy in his book Unhappy India has mentioned her name for out standing achievements. This book was published in 1927 & immediatly banned by British Govt.
